We are Basia and Frankie. That's us in the logo, and we're really pleased to meet you. Even if we haven't met you yet we can probably guess a little about you...

Perhaps you're bagging the 214 Wainwrights here in the beautiful Lake District but you are not sure how to link a few of them together to get the most summits for your efforts. Or you are unsure about tackling some of the big ones.

Maybe you are a beginner and building your confidence. Or maybe you just don't want to start a fight with your family and friends by getting everyone lost and grumpy for hours on end.

Whether you want to join a guided walk and take all the stress out of the hike, or you want to learn how to plan and navigate the fells yourself, Hills and Skills have got you covered.

We specialise in walks for families, beginners and those who simply enjoy the pace and camaraderie of a family walk.

We make each walk great fun for kids, and we even present certificates to reward their achievements!

We don't race anywhere, and there is no machismo here. We walk at a pace that everyone in the group can enjoy, and we are really big on safety. We just enjoy the beauty, enjoy good company, feel good about our physical achievement, and come home in a very good mood.
